Terrorism: no bombs or attacks failed
The idea is not mine but John Robb, author of the website Global Guerrillas.
In a post published on 17 January Robb suggests the idea of \u200b\u200ba new type of attack without the use of bombs.
shall report the case of a man entering through a wrong door at JFK Airport in New York has triggered the alarm that was in the evacuation of an entire terminal and the resulting delay of many flights.
Robb asked what would happen if the event was replicated simultaneously in five airports, or even 100.
In a post published on December 29 Robb had talked about as interesting as a concept ...... the "strategy of failure." According to him, this strategy would be unintended at the time. Taking into account the recent failed attack on Nigerian who wanted to blow up a flight of Northwest Airways, Robb suggests that such an event has the same effect as "loss" of a successful attack - raises the cost of security. At the same time costs much less, takes less time to prepare and are probably more "terrorists" not available because they are asked to commit suicide.
ANSA In an article "From the last kiss to the cheese, the false alarms" is drawn up the list of triggered alarms at airports after the failed assassination attempt of Nigeria.
As the title of the article suggests that when all the alarms are a result of errors of interpretation by the security apparatus and / or the carelessness of passengers.
However, if the theory were correct Robb ........
